Opera comes to Madison

Madison Visionary Partners collaborated with Opera Huntsville to bring the area's first ever "Opera in the Park" program to the new Home Place Park near downtown Madison on Tuesday, September 20.

With over 100 people in attendance, the event was an introduction to opera with performances of opera favorites, including songs from Phantom of the Opera, Faust, Carmen and more.

The one hour program was free and open to the public thanks to event sponsors: The Avenue, AMT, and the Offices at Spenryn.

“MVP was so excited to be able to bring this event to Madison. One of the things that is integral to MVP’s success as a nonprofit is collaborative partnerships. We support events in Madison that not only enhance the quality of life, but build community engagement through the arts,” said Melanie Thornton, MVP's Executive Director.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to our food truck vendors: Park and Perk, Zion Gourmet Popcorn and Get Loaded.
