MVP Receives $20,000 Grant from Meta

On behalf of MVP and the City of Madison, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to Meta for this generous grant and for investing in the future of our downtown.

Madison’s historic district is the heart of our community. It’s where families gather, where small businesses grow, and where we celebrate together through festivals, parades, and events that bring thousands of people downtown each year. But as our community has grown, so has the need for reliable, modern connectivity.

This project allows us to replace aging, unsupported wireless equipment with a secure, high-performance network that will better serve our city operations, public safety, local businesses, and—most importantly—our residents and visitors.

With this upgraded infrastructure, we’re not just improving Wi-Fi—we’re enhancing the entire downtown experience. From supporting local shops and enabling seamless events, to creating new opportunities for education and community engagement, this investment helps ensure that our historic district remains vibrant, accessible, and competitive for years to come.

We expect this improved network to serve tens of thousands of users annually, strengthening both the economic and cultural vitality of our city.
