2026 Community Impact Grant Spotlight: SS 4 Kids

"2026 marks the thirty-third year of "SS 4 Kids," a project right here in the Madison area that provides school supplies for children who otherwise would not have them. In 1993, the first year of the program, we provided supplies to five schools. This year we were fortunate to be able to provide backpacks to 323 students in 16 schools in Madison and nearby parts of Madison County.

"While most people can easily understand the importance of helping students get school supplies, some may wonder what makes SS 4 Kids different. We have made it a priority to pack each backpack according to the supply list for each grade of each school we support. Because of this, the children who receive our backpacks have the same supplies on the first day of school as their peers, making it a bit easier to fit in with the rest of their class right from the start.

"The grant that we received from Madison Visionary Partners was a huge help in allowing us to provide this service. It is amazing how much positive feedback we receive from the schools about the impact SS 4 Kids, made possible by MVP's support, has on the children who are in need of help in our community.

"Flyers showing our sponsors are placed in the backpacks so that children and their families know that your organization has reached out to help them."

SS 4 Kids received a 2026 Community Impact Grant from Madison Visionary Partners in the amount of $2000 to assist in their yearly backpack program.
