Meet the Madison Visionary Partners Board! This month we are highlighting John Howard.

John lives in Madison with his wife Joy and their three children, all of whom attend Madison City Schools. They are active members of Asbury church in Madison. He is a commercial real estate and corporate attorney with the law firm of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP. He also serves on the City of Madison planning commission.
Why is MVP important to you?
MVP is important to me because it fills a critical gap in our community--providing support and resources to new and emerging nonprofits that need help getting off the ground. It also steps in to assist with special projects that make a real impact, helping improve Madison and making it a better place for all of us.
Why do you like living in Madison?
The schools were the biggest draw for us, and we have come to love the people here. It's a great place. I think improving our downtown is going to be very important. We also need to improve our recreational facilities. And we definitely need to keep our schools a top priority. That is what drives people wanting to be here the most.
What is your favorite thing to do in Madison?
Hang out with my family or enjoy a cross fit workout at the gym.
Can you share a fun fact about yourself or explain something you enjoy doing outside of work?
My life revolves around my family right now; our three kids are all into different activities.
Fun fact, in college I was a fireman and EMT.
I also really love dogs. My wife tells me I love our dog more than our kids.
Is there a favorite quote or mantra that inspires you?
Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
